Headache
Use the roller-ball pain blend: PAST TENSE.
Apply to back of neck, massaging up the back of the skull.  Also across the forehead, on the temples, and down the sides of the neck.
 
For severe headaches, also consider this blend;
2 drop Peppermint (and/or)
2 drop Lavender
2 drop Frankincense

Apply to area's of pain, ie, temples, forehead, back of neck, under eyes (along cheek bone) - avoid eyes.
 
Other powerful oils helpful to some; Deep Blue, Birch, Wintergreen

For sever headaches consider Aromatouch massage - integrating past tense.
include shoulders, neck and brain stem.

My experience is that Gina is right on.  It might take some experimentation to find the best essential oil help for you. But I would start with peppermint, lavender and frankincense.  Some have found Deep Blue very effective and wintergreen makes sense because its key constituent, methylsalycilate, is actually produced synthetically to make some pharmaceutical remedies.

Start with peppermint on the temples, across the forehead, and on the back of the neck.
